Super Night Vision 2.0 videos recorded in a low-light environment, such as dark alleys or parking lots, may not be clearly identifiable.SUPER NIGHT VISION 2.0 in the U1000 uses Image Signal Processing (ISP) technology to record a clear, visible video in any situation- while driving When you are driving under bright sunlight, coming out of a tunnel, or getting under the shadow of a tall building etc, a sudden change in frontal light exposure levels can result in excessively bright or dark recordings. The WDR function eliminates excessively bright spots on the recording to correct its colour balance in order to ensure a clear image. Automatic Exposure A sudden rise of light exposure caused by strong sunlight or headlight beams of the oncoming vehicle may cause difficulties to assess the situation. Also, the lack of lighting in a dark tunnel or night driving may pose the same problem. The automatic light exposure function controls the level of light exposure to maintain vivid and clear video recordings in all circumstances. Parking mode is a feature of dash cams that are either hardwired or using the OBD2 Connector. This allows them to continue recording while your car is parked and turned off. All Thinkware dashcams continuously monitor the health of the vehicle’s battery and will shut down if it detects any issues. Please note: A hardwire or OBDII cable installation is required for Parking Mode functionality Motion Detection Monitor and capture any motion around the vehicle for potential vandalism attempts. Impact Detection Monitor any impact to the vehicle while it is parked to catch any hit-and-run driver in the act while you are away. Catch any potential bumps, scrapes and other incidents by recording footage from your vehicle when you are not nearby. Timelapse mode records at 2 frame per second (FPS) to reduce the size of the video file. This allows the dash cam to record longer than other dash cams whilst in parking mode Reduce power consumption and provides longer video recording than normal parking mode. When you are away from your car for an extended period of time, energy saving parking recording is a recommended solution. When in use, the device will go to sleep and after an impact has been detected by the built-in G-sensor, it will wake up within a second and start recording for the next 20 seconds. Add the optional radar to access even more from your camera’s parking mode. With energy-saving mode, the dashcam will enter sleep mode when in parking mode. When the radar detects motion, the dashcam will power back up. If an impact is then detected, the camera will then save a 20-second clip (10 seconds before impact and 10 seconds after impact) and store this for viewing. If no impact is detected the unit will simply power back down to save your vehicle’s battery. Get audio warnings from your cash cam when approaching a wide variety of road safety cameras*.Thinkware Dash Cams provides active alert for these 5 types of road safety cameras while still recording videos. *UK speed camera (Cyclops) database with regular free updates RED LIGHT WARNING SYSTEM SPEED CAMERA WARNING SYSTEM RED LIGHT & SPEED CAMERA WARNING SYSTEM AVERAGE SPEED WARNING SYSTEM MOBILE ZONE WARNING SYSTEM   FORWARD COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM(FCWS/ UFCWS) Warns the driver of impending road hazards. FRONT VEHICLE DEPARTURE WARNING(FVDW) Informs the driver of the vehicle ahead starting to move. LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SYSTEM(LDWS) Detects if the vehicle is veering off the driving lane. With GPS, all Thinkware dash cams can record the vehicle’s driving speed and provide its precise location and routes identification on the map. The GPS Tracker helps you to accurately assess the details of the surrounding area. The PC/Mac viewer can then provide you with the vehicle speed and the time of a collision, and the severity of any impacts. The intuitive and simple-to-use interface of Thinkware Dash Cam allows you an easy and convenient viewing of your recorded videos. Through PC or Mac viewer, you can playback and download recorded videos. You can also change the dash cam settings, format the memory card, or install updates with just a few clicks on the viewer. Avoid overexposure in your Dash Cam footage when experiencing sources of bright light whilst driving, keeping your footage clearer. Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) is technology that allows the dashboard camera to capture a clearer image in a strongly contrasted environment. It can solve problems such as intense contrasts of light sources. In the event of a sudden change in frontal light exposure, such as when driving into or out of a tunnel or driving directly into bright sunshine, the Wide Dynamic Range function will eliminate excessively bright spots on the recordings. CONTINUOUS RECORDING MODE This mode is activated automatically when you start the engine. Recorded videos are saved in one-minute segments with an auto-looping mechanism. INCIDENT RECORDING MODE The Active Impact Monitoring System will automatically store the video data ten seconds prior to and after a collision registered by the 3-axis G-Sensor. MANUAL RECORDING MODE Similar to a video camera, you can use the Manual Recording Mode to capture events that occur in front of your vehicle whether or not it is in motion. FAIL-SAFE RECORDING In the event that the power gets disconnected after an accident, the fail-safe recording uses the Super Capacitor for backup power to ensure safe storage of any recording in progress. Avoid corrupt memory cards and the slow process of having to reformat your SD Cards with the free flowing recording system. One of the most common issues with a Dash cam’s reliability is the SD card, these cards are continuously overwritten and often become corrupt if not formatted often. This normally means that you have to remove the SD card and put it into a computer to reformat it. Thinkware have overcome this vulnerability by making the dashcam pre-allocate the memory, avoiding the need to format the SD card on a regular basis and making the footage easily viewable on our Thinkware viewer software. Protects your dashboard camera from overheating and causing potentially irreversible damage to it or its data. The specially designed heat discharge construction and the built-in thermal sensor of the dash cam protects the device and its data against intense heat by automatically turning it off to prevent overheating. All Thinkware cameras use a Super Capacitor, designed with Temperature Protection, for an emergency power source in the event of a crash or sudden power loss, allowing the unit to save the last 10 seconds of an incident. Designed to be mounted inside the vehicle on the rear window facing out. A wide-angle lens captures all footage from behind the vehicle in the same QHD detail as the front camera. A great enhancement to parking mode.

TIME LAPSE PARKING MODE Catch any potential bumps, scrapes and other incidents by recording footage from your vehicle when you are not nearby. Timelapse mode records at 2 frame per second (FPS) to reduce the size of the video file. This allows the dash cam to record longer than other dash cams whilst in parking mode. ENERGY SAVING MODE Reduce power consumption and provides longer video recording than normal parking mode. When you are away from your car for an extended period of time, energy saving parking recording is a recommended solution. When in use, the device will go to sleep and after an impact has been detected by the built-in G-sensor, it will wake up within a second and start recording for the next 20 seconds. SUPER NIGHT VISION Whilst in parking mode the Thinkware camera uses advancements in lens and computing power to revolutionise night time recording with their Trademarked Super Night Vision. The system uses ISP (Image Signal Processing) technology and real-time image processing to capture far greater detail at night, further protecting your vehicle whilst parked. ACCESS YOUR CAMERA'S FULL POTENTIAL WITH THE OPTIONAL GPS ANTENNA   ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM (ADAS) FORWARD COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM(FCWS) Warns the driver of impending road hazards. FRONT VEHICLE DEPARTURE WARNING(FVDW) Informs the driver of the vehicle ahead starting to move. LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SYSTEM(LDWS) Detects if the vehicle is veering off the driving lane. GPS MAPPING With GPS, all Thinkware dash cams can record the vehicle’s driving speed and provide its precise location and routes identification on the map. The GPS Tracker helps you to accurately assess the details of the surrounding area. The PC/Mac viewer can then provide you with the vehicle speed and the time of a collision, and the severity of any impacts. PC / MAC VIEWER The intuitive and simple-to-use interface of Thinkware Dash Cam allows you an easy and convenient viewing of your recorded videos. Through PC or Mac viewer, you can playback and download recorded videos. You can also change the dash cam settings, format the memory card, or install updates with just a few clicks on the viewer. WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE Avoid overexposure in your Dash Cam footage when experiencing sources of bright light whilst driving, keeping your footage clearer. NIGHT-TIME QUALITY CORRECTION Most videos recorded on a dashcam in the dark are generally difficult to make out details. That is why this dashcam uses enhanced sensors that come with a standard function of brightness and colour control as well as noise cancellation. These increase the quality of the image and ensure your videos are always the best quality possible. MULTIPLE RECORDING MODES CONTINUOUS RECORDING MODE This mode is activated automatically when you start the engine. FORMAT FREE TECHNOLOGY Avoid corrupt memory cards and the slow process of having to reformat your SD Cards with the free flowing recording system. HIGH-TEMPERATURE PROTECTION SYSTEM Protects your dashboard camera from overheating and causing potentially irreversible damage to it or its data. REAR CAMERA Designed to be mounted inside the vehicle on the rear window facing out. A 150° wide-angle lens captures all footage from behind the vehicle in FHD detail. A great enhancement to parking mode.

About 80 minutes (Plug & Play) Usage time: 1ch: about 20 hours (2.9Wh). 2ch: about 16 hours (3.5Wh) Battery: LiFePo4 (Lithium iron phosphate) Battery capacity: 12.8V 4,500mAh 57.6Wh Dimensions: 165.4(W) x 131.2(L) x 36.8(H) Weight: 0.95kg Operation temperature: Charging: 0°C~45°C. Discharging: -10°C~60°C. (Cell skin temperature cannot exceed 80°C) Storage temperature: -10°C ~ 60°C Storage humidity range: 65% ±20%RH(Recommended to store 23 ±5°C for long term) Hardwire or Plug & Play? Hardwire Looking to extend the duration of the dashcams parking mode, then install the iVolt into your vehicle. The Hardwired version wires directly into your vehicles fuse box, allowing the iVolt to charge whilst the vehicles ignition is on, this allows for the iVolt to be fully recharged in 45 minute  The iVolt battery is also fully recharged in approximately 80 minutes while driving. Please Note the 12v Accessory socket must be ignition controlled!   Recommended for vehicles that use an intelligent battery system (IBS) like some models of BMW, as they often raise an error code detecting the additional power drain whilst in parking mode. Do I need to use a Dash Cam Battery Pack? Thinkware Dash Cams offer a few different methods in which the device is powered. All Thinkware Dash Cams come standard with a built-in voltmeter and battery protection settings to ensure you will not return to your vehicle with a dead battery. These Voltage Settings can be utilized with the Hardwiring Kit or OBD-II Harness to protect your battery when using Parking Mode. However, If you wish to record an extended amount of Parking Footage, or if you have a Luxury Vehicle/Small Vehicle Battery the Thinkware iVolt Mini Battery Pack may be the right choice for you. The Benefits of using a Dash Cam Battery Pack  Extended Parking Mode When Hardwired the Dash Cam will record in Parking Mode for approximately 8 hours (depending on vehicle’s battery and the voltage cut-off setting) before powering down to save power. With the iVolt Mini, your 1 Channel Dash Cam can run for 20 hours, or if you have a  2 Channel Dash Cam, 16 hours in Parking Mode before needing to recharge the battery pack. Safe for Luxury Vehicles If you own a Luxury Vehicle such as a BMW, battery drainage not only means replacing the vehicle’s battery but it can also require the dealership to reset the vehicle’s electronics, which can turn into an extremely expensive fix. By using a Dash Cam Battery Pack, you will still be able to use our Advanced Parking Mode risk-free. Avoid Wear and Tear With a Hardwired Dash Cam, the constant discharge on the battery over a long period of time can cause wear and tear. The iVolt Mini Battery Pack only draws power to charge when you are driving the vehicle, which prevents damage to the vehicle’s battery over time. With the ignition off, the Dash Cam relies solely on the Battery Pack for power, eliminating the need to draw power from the vehicle’s battery completely. Why use a Dash Cam Battery Pack instead of a Portable USB Battery Pack? Portable USB Battery Packs feature different technology than a dedicated Dash Cam Battery Pack. Portable USB Battery Packs typically use Lithium-Ion batteries to provide power to the device. Our Thinkware iVolt Mini utilizes a LiFePo4 (Lithium iron phosphate) battery. The LiFePo4 battery is safer for in-vehicle use as it was designed to withhold extreme temperatures. Lithium-Ion Batteries used in these Portable USB Battery Packs have been known to combust under extreme heat.  In addition, Portable USB Batteries typically have a long charging time (overnight) compared to our Thinkware iVolt Mini which fully recharges in 45 mins while driving.

Thinkware Thinkware iVOLT BAB-50 Battery Pack Hardwire

    9 in stock

Designed for Thinkware Dash Cams, the BAB-50 is an excellent solution to enhancing the parking mode features of the dash cam and eliminate wear and tear on the vehicle’s battery. When your vehicle is powered off, the BAB-50 will provide power to your dash cam for parking mode recording.  The BAB-50 is compact-sized, making it easy to hide inside the vehicle, especially in smaller vehicles. The BAB-50 takes approximately 45 minutes to fully charge (7A Speed Charge) and can power a dual-channel dash cam system up to 16 hours.  Made up of LiFePo4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) cells, the BAB-50 is designed to withstand extreme temperatures, go through more charge cycles (up to 1,500 charge cycles) and is more environmentally-friendly than traditional Lithium-ion batteries.  Without a battery pack, some vehicles may bring up a ‘Battery Discharge’ warning if you leave your dash cam running in Parking Surveillance Mode for several hours as it is detected as an excessive vehicle battery drain. Fitting a battery pack is the best solution to prevent it from happening.   Note 12V Cigarette Charging Cable is not included. The iVOLT BAB-50 must be hardwired to the fuse box.  Thinkware Hardwire Kit is required for the Unspliced 3-Wire Output Cable option. We strongly recommend soldering the wires for a secure connection between the Thinkware Hardwire Kit and the Unspliced 3-Wire Output Cable. For a plug and play experience, choose the Spliced Hardwire Kit.   12.0V – 15.5V / 10A MAX Output Voltage / Current 12.0V – 14.6V / 2.0A MAX Charging Voltage / Current 14.6V / 7A (Hardwire) Charging Time About 45 minutes (Hardwire)About 60 minutes (Cigarette Plug) Usage Time 1-Channel: Up to 20 hours (2.9Wh)2-Channel: Up to 16 hours (3.5Wh) Battery LiFePo4 (Lithium iron phosphate) Battery Capacity 12.8V 4,500mAh 57.6Wh Charge Cycles up to 1,500 charge cycles Dimensions 165.4(W) x 131.2(L) x 36.8(H) Weight 0.95kg
