GEO FENCING & VEHICLE LOCATION
Stay up to date with your vehicle’s location. Simply set the address via postcode or pin point on the map and choose a zone from 100m up to 600km. Then if the dashcam leaves the area it will send a push notification to the app. The location is updated every 10 seconds and you can manually check the current location, speed and heading via the integrated Google Maps feature on the Cloud app.
REMOTE LIVE VIEW
Monitor your vehicle with your smartphone. Watch what is happening in real-time whilst the vehicle is in Continuous driving mode for up to 300 minutes per month, this allowance resets on the 1st of every month. (Live View Resolution 768x452p at 15fps). Your dashcam can also send you an alert when the camera has detected a impact whilst in parking mode.
IMPACT NOTIFICATIONS
Track the safety of the driver with Stong Impact Notifications. When the Dashcam detects a big impact, The camera will send an alert notification to anyone logged on to the same Thinkware account with the impact location. A 20 second video, 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after the incident will then be uploaded to the cloud server allowing users to download and view via the app.
The Thinkware Cloud features will only work when the vehicle ignition is on and the dash cam is in Continuous Driving Mode. The Thinkware Cloud App must be downloaded to the Smartphone and an account must be registered. The dash cam must be connected via hotspot to a smartphone or wifi dongle that is located within the vehicle at all time to use the Cloud Features. This requires an internet connection with data available. Carrier fees and charges will apply.

WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE
Avoid overexposure in your Dash Cam footage when experiencing sources of bright light whilst driving, keeping your footage clearer.
Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) is technology that allows the dashboard camera to capture a clearer image in a strongly contrasted environment. It can solve problems such as intense contrasts of light sources. In the event of a sudden change in frontal light exposure, such as when driving into or out of a tunnel or driving directly into bright sunshine, the Wide Dynamic Range function will eliminate excessively bright spots on the recordings.
MULTIPLE RECORDING MODES
CONTINUOUS RECORDING MODE
This mode is activated automatically when you start the engine. Recorded videos are saved in one-minute segments with an auto-looping mechanism.
INCIDENT RECORDING MODE
The Active Impact Monitoring System will automatically store the video data ten seconds prior to and after a collision registered by the 3-axis G-Sensor.

NIGHT-TIME QUALITY CORRECTION

That is why this dashcam uses enhanced sensors that come with a standard function of brightness and colour control as well as noise cancellation. Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) is technology that allows the dashboard camera to capture a clearer image in a strongly contrasted environment. It can solve problems such as intense contrasts of light sources. In the event of a sudden change in frontal light exposure, such as when driving into or out of a tunnel or driving directly into bright sunshine, the Wide Dynamic Range function will eliminate excessively bright spots on the recordings.
NIGHT-TIME QUALITY CORRECTION
Most videos recorded on a dashcam in the dark are generally difficult to make out details. That is why this dashcam uses enhanced sensors that come with a standard function of brightness and colour control as well as noise cancellation. These increase the quality of the image and ensure your videos are always the best quality possible.
MULTIPLE RECORDING MODES
CONTINUOUS RECORDING MODE
This mode is activated automatically when you start the engine. Recorded videos are saved in one-minute segments with an auto-looping mechanism.
INCIDENT RECORDING MODE
The Active Impact Monitoring System will automatically store the video data ten seconds prior to and after a collision registered by the 3-axis G-Sensor.
MANUAL RECORDING MODE
Similar to a video camera, you can use the Manual Recording Mode to capture events that occur in front of your vehicle whether or not it is in motion.
FAIL-SAFE RECORDING
In the event that the power gets disconnected after an accident, the fail-safe recording uses the Super Capacitor for backup power to ensure safe storage of any recording in progress.
FORMAT FREE TECHNOLOGY
Avoid corrupt memory cards and the slow process of having to reformat your SD Cards with the free flowing recording system.
One of the most common issues with a Dash cam’s reliability is the SD card, these cards are continuously overwritten and often become corrupt if not formatted often. This normally means that you have to remove the SD card and put it into a computer to reformat it. Thinkware have overcome this vulnerability by making the dashcam pre-allocate the memory, avoiding the need to format the SD card on a regular basis and making the footage easily viewable on our Thinkware viewer software.
HIGH-TEMPERATURE PROTECTION SYSTEM
Protects your dashboard camera from overheating and causing potentially irreversible damage to it or its data.
The specially designed heat discharge construction and the built-in thermal sensor of the dash cam protects the device and its data against intense heat by automatically turning it off to prevent overheating. All Thinkware cameras use a Super Capacitor, designed with Temperature Protection, for an emergency power source in the event of a crash or sudden power loss, allowing the unit to save the last 10 seconds of an incident.
REAR CAMERA
Designed to be mounted inside the vehicle on the rear window facing out. A 140° wide-angle lens captures all footage from behind the vehicle in FHD detail. A great enhancement to parking mode.

Hardwire
Looking to extend the duration of the dashcams parking mode, then install the iVolt into your vehicle. The Hardwired version wires directly into your vehicles fuse box, allowing the iVolt to charge whilst the vehicles ignition is on, this allows for the iVolt to be fully recharged in 45 minute
The iVolt battery is also fully recharged in approximately 80 minutes while driving.
Please Note the 12v Accessory socket must be ignition controlled!
Recommended for vehicles that use an intelligent battery system (IBS) like some models of BMW, as they often raise an error code detecting the additional power drain whilst in parking mode.
Do I need to use a Dash Cam Battery Pack?
Thinkware Dash Cams offer a few different methods in which the device is powered.
All Thinkware Dash Cams come standard with a built-in voltmeter and battery protection settings to ensure you will not return to your vehicle with a dead battery. These Voltage Settings can be utilized with the Hardwiring Kit or OBD-II Harness to protect your battery when using Parking Mode.
However, If you wish to record an extended amount of Parking Footage, or if you have a Luxury Vehicle/Small Vehicle Battery the Thinkware iVolt Mini Battery Pack may be the right choice for you.
The Benefits of using a Dash Cam Battery Pack
Extended Parking Mode
When Hardwired the Dash Cam will record in Parking Mode for approximately 8 hours (depending on vehicle’s battery and the voltage cut-off setting) before powering down to save power. With the iVolt Mini, your 1 Channel Dash Cam can run for 20 hours, or if you have a 2 Channel Dash Cam, 16 hours in Parking Mode before needing to recharge the battery pack.
Safe for Luxury Vehicles
If you own a Luxury Vehicle such as a BMW, battery drainage not only means replacing the vehicle’s battery but it can also require the dealership to reset the vehicle’s electronics, which can turn into an extremely expensive fix.
By using a Dash Cam Battery Pack, you will still be able to use our Advanced Parking Mode risk-free.
Avoid Wear and Tear
With a Hardwired Dash Cam, the constant discharge on the battery over a long period of time can cause wear and tear. The iVolt Mini Battery Pack only draws power to charge when you are driving the vehicle, which prevents damage to the vehicle’s battery over time. With the ignition off, the Dash Cam relies solely on the Battery Pack for power, eliminating the need to draw power from the vehicle’s battery completely.
Why use a Dash Cam Battery Pack instead of a Portable USB Battery Pack?
Portable USB Battery Packs feature different technology than a dedicated Dash Cam Battery Pack. Portable USB Battery Packs typically use Lithium-Ion batteries to provide power to the device. Our Thinkware iVolt Mini utilizes a LiFePo4 (Lithium iron phosphate) battery.
The LiFePo4 battery is safer for in-vehicle use as it was designed to withhold extreme temperatures. Lithium-Ion Batteries used in these Portable USB Battery Packs have been known to combust under extreme heat.
In addition, Portable USB Batteries typically have a long charging time (overnight) compared to our Thinkware iVolt Mini which fully recharges in 45 mins while driving.
Designed for Thinkware Dash Cams, the BAB-50 is an excellent solution to enhancing the parking mode features of the dash cam and eliminate wear and tear on the vehicle’s battery. When your vehicle is powered off, the BAB-50 will provide power to your dash cam for parking mode recording. The BAB-50 is compact-sized, making it easy to hide inside the vehicle, especially in smaller vehicles. The BAB-50 takes approximately 45 minutes to fully charge (7A Speed Charge) and can power a dual-channel dash cam system up to 16 hours. Made up of LiFePo4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) cells, the BAB-50 is designed to withstand extreme temperatures, go through more charge cycles (up to 1,500 charge cycles) and is more environmentally-friendly than traditional Lithium-ion batteries. Without a battery pack, some vehicles may bring up a ‘Battery Discharge’ warning if you leave your dash cam running in Parking Surveillance Mode for several hours as it is detected as an excessive vehicle battery drain. Fitting a battery pack is the best solution to prevent it from happening. Note 12V Cigarette Charging Cable is not included. The iVOLT BAB-50 must be hardwired to the fuse box. Thinkware Hardwire Kit is required for the Unspliced 3-Wire Output Cable option.
