E-bikes are actually too heavy for regular bike carriers. In addition, many bike carriers are mounted on the rear wall of a motorhome, so that you have to lift much too high. Recognizable? The M-Star offers the solution to this problem.
With this foldable bike carrier you can transport two electric bikes (up to 75 kg). And it is mounted at knee height. Directly on the chassis, for extra stability.
Mounting on chassis
The M-Star can be mounted directly on the AL-KO motorhome chassis or a chassis extension. You can contact a Memo dealer in your area for this. The bike carrier is much more stable on the chassis than on the rear wall or on a towbar.
E-bikes at knee height
Because of the mounting on the chassis, your e-bikes are at knee height. So lifting high is no longer necessary. Remove your bikes from the carrier even more easily? With our optional ramp you can drive your bikes on and off the carrier in no time. Ask your Memo dealer about it.
Fasteners
Cycling shoes and bicycle arms for transporting bikes or e-bikes are included as standard. For safety, we recommend that you always use a lashing strap. The Memo dealer will be happy to advise you on suitable fasteners for your type of e-bike.
European type approval
The M-Star has a European type approval. You are guaranteed to be safe on the road.
This chassis mounted bicycle carrier can carry up to two E-bikes and is fitted at knee height to avoid having to lift the heavy E-bikes high onto the carrier. This solves most problems for E-bike users and if lifting the E-bikes is not possible at all, a bike ramp is available as an option.
The bicycle carrier is easily removable, and it can be folded up as well. Neither action requires tools. This saves space not only on your camp site, but also on the ferry and when it is not being used. Folding the bicycle carrier saves you up to 40 cm of unused space.
The M-Star can be fitted onto most motorhomes with either an Al-Ko chassis or suitable chassis extensions. We can supply your motorhome accordingly with either chassis extensions or reinforcement kits to allow the M-Star to be fitted. Thanks to the European type approval no registration or administrative hassle is required.
The bike rails, bike holders, cross bar and light bar are constructed from lightweight aluminium. For reasons of durability and strength all other parts are constructed from powder coated steel.
